X was the real YIt turns out that humanity was the bone-splintering monster.

This was probably my favourite new movie I watched in 2014

On second watch it's still pretty good. I think the acting is decent, the monster is frightening/gross and I feel like the movie makes it almost to the end before characters do anything really stupid.

[SPOILER] I don't really think the movie needed a redemption arc but oh well. It didn't ruin anything either.
