This is maybe the prettiest horror movie that I don't really like.

I watched this a few years back and remembered disliking it but thinking that a lot of the cinematography was unbelievably good. I was hoping I had just not been in the mood for it or hadn't watched enough horror at the time, but I was pretty much right.

The set of this movie is fantastic—it's full of bold colours and patterns. The lighting is inspired. But the plot is pretty disjointed and unsatisfactory.

Oh well, maybe I'll watch the remake. I could see this being turned into a significantly better film or a really uninspired remake.
